Why Vote Music?
Australia’s music industry is a cultural and economic powerhouse — generating jobs, driving tourism, enriching communities, and telling our stories. But after years of disruption and underinvestment, the industry is not thriving as it should.
With a federal election on the horizon, we’re calling on all parties to commit to a stronger future for Australian music — one that ensures more local music is heard at home and around the world.
Our joint policy statement has been developed by 19 national leading music organisations, with input from artists, venues, festivals, songwriters, and music businesses across the country.
